Add assignments to attach a role to individual users or a group of users to grant access. Revoke access by removing that role assignment.

Assign roles via Roles and administrators or through Users.

Roles and administrators

Go to Roles and administrators
Select the role
Click Add assignments
Select the organization from the list, you can then choose from this organization's users
Click users selected, choose the user(s) from the list, then click Select to add
Click groups selected, choose the groups(s) from the list, then click Select to add
Click scopes selected, choose the organization scope of the role from the list, then click Select to add. Some roles include an additional scope setting.

Go to Users
Select the user
In the user's profile click Roles
Click Add assignments
Select the role from the list
Click users selected, choose the user(s) from the list, then click Select to add
Click groups selected, choose the groups(s) from the list, then click Select to add
Click scopes selected, choose the organization scope of the role from the list, then click Select to add. Some roles include an additional scope setting.

By default, roles are grouped by category with the option to filter or group by subcategory. We cover additional information on role grouping in the next section.
